Unlocking Potential: In the heart of Lorain, Ohio, the Black River hold enormous opportunity. REALM was asked to work with the project team to unearth potential within the site to weave together the fabric of the city, creating a seamless connection between the riverfront performance area and the bustling main retail street. This would result in synergy that breathes life into both spaces, fostering a sense of cohesive village.
The Crown Jewel of Lorain: Our vision extends beyond bricks and greenery. We aspire to create the crown jewel of Lorain—a beacon that draws locals and visitors alike. This is more than a park; it’s a cultural heart nestled within the landscape. Here, the community gathers for festivals, concerts, and quiet reflection.
A Growing Legacy: As Lorain grows, we would hope to see the phased expansion of Black River Landing, increasing its contact within the community and offering more amenities to those looking to spend time in public space. The park becomes a living canvas, reflecting Lorain’s past, celebrating its present, and embracing its future.
